Glen Lang

Connexion TechnologiesGlen Lang is the founder and CEO of Connexion Technologies, and the primary individual responsible for the unique business strategy of Connexion, a wholly owned subsidiary of Capitol Broadband. Glen has been in the technology marketing business for 25 years, including contributing roles with Sun Microsystems, Control Data Corporation, and Intergraph.
In 1991, Glen and his business partners founded Accura Innovative Services with Glen as acting CEO. Accura Software Development Company specialized in client server computing. It grew to $10M dollars in sales in an 18 month period and was subsequently sold to a public company.
In the 1990's Glen did mergers and acquisitions consulting for Fortune 500 companies and participated as a founder in two communication company startups which were venture capital funded, one of which went public.
In November of 1997, Glen was elected to the Cary Town Council on a balanced growth platform. He was elected Mayor of Cary, NC, in 1999 with his term expiring in 2003. Cary is a town of 100,000 people adjacent to Research Triangle Park in North Carolina. While serving as Mayor, Glen became involved in the assessment of advanced communications to serve the town of Cary. While serving as mayor, the Council commissioned a survey of the viability of fiber-to-the-home technology. The demand for services demonstrated by this study led to the development of Capitol Broadband and the subsequent development of Connexion Technologies.
